We woke up and started the day with some Hawaiian coffee at the house before we went over to a little shopping mall in Poipu to have Matthew’s bent sunglasses fixed, and as we always seem to do when we are out and about together, we made a new friend. Continue reading

Honeymoon, Day 4
We started this day of our honeymoon with a run through Poipu. It was pretty hot by 9am, but we powered through. Then we packed up the Jeep and headed back out to the beach at Barking Sands. Poipu is nice, but so crowded. Especially compared to this:
Honeymoon, Day 3
Sorry we didn’t get to this last night before bed, but it was a long day. Yesterday we gave up the cottage at Pacific Missile Range Facility in Barking Sands and headed back to Lihue to meet Ben’s older brother Henri and his wife, Soni (who also happened to be our wedding coordinator and designer, if anyone is interested in having their own stylish Seattle wedding).
Honeymoon, Day 2
We started day two with a morning workout on the base. We went for a run to an outdoor fitness park and then did some interval training on the way back. We got back to the cottage and went straight for the beach: our first dip in the ocean.

Just wanted to share a picture we received today from Nate Gowdy, who photographed our wedding for the Seattle Gay News, and let everyone know we are safely in Kaua’i, tucked away in a cottage on the Pacific Missile Range Facility in Barking Sands.
