Sorry we didn’t get to this last night before bed, but it was a long day. Yesterday we gave up the cottage at Pacific Missile Range Facility in Barking Sands and headed back to Lihue to meet Ben’s older brother Henri and his wife, Soni (who also happened to be our wedding coordinator and designer, if anyone is interested in having their own stylish Seattle wedding).

Amazing
We’ve been truly overwhelmed by the support from everyone. If you’d like to see the ceremony, you can still watch it online at Livestream (it’s a recording of the live broadcast, so skip ahead to about the two hour mark). If you’re inclined to support our move to Okinawa since DOMA prevents the military from helping us, please consider donating to our Okinawa Fund.
Honeymoon, Day 2
We started day two with a morning workout on the base. We went for a run to an outdoor fitness park and then did some interval training on the way back. We got back to the cottage and went straight for the beach: our first dip in the ocean.
Starting our Honeymoon
Just wanted to share a picture we received today from Nate Gowdy, who photographed our wedding for the Seattle Gay News, and let everyone know we are safely in Kaua’i, tucked away in a cottage on the Pacific Missile Range Facility in Barking Sands.
Today is the big day!
We are so excited! We had our rehearsal and dinner last night with our families and the wedding party, and then spent our last nights alone with our families.
Two days!
What a great week it has been so far! We have been really busy getting things done.
Three days!
Family and friends are beginning to arrive today in Seattle and we are entering the home stretch of preparations.
